Great spot for delicious Tex-mex. Megan B provided excellent service remembering all the details. Definitely give the loaded queso a try - you won’t be disappointed! Good-sized portions and delicious food. Not your average Tex-Mex... lots of creativity and quality. Can’t wait to come back!
Julia and I enjoyed our simple weekly date. The 5 Margaritas during happy hour were hand-made and shaken by our server Amy and really, really good!! Service was awesome. Chips, salsa, and great fajitas. 4 Stars to the creamy chicken enchiladas and guacamole tostada even less, but still rating 5 stars because if you know what to buy, it is superb. Not sure if it's under new management, but we will be back.
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and our bartender/waiter (Davis) was simply the best. Food priced well, great drinks , and salsa was very good! We will be back soon!!!
This is a great mexican restaurant in downtown Rockwall. Good chips and the best salsa IMO. I got the Tuesday special of chicken or beef for 13.95... I got the chicken and it was fantastic

Looking for a quick bite or a date night dinner? Can’t go wrong with the sizzling chicken and beef fajitas or their enchilada with sour cream sauce (my personal fav). I love going during happy hour and getting 5 margaritas!
I have been to this establishment nearly 5 times in total. Like the atmosphere, and they happened to be playing 1980's classic rock music from bands like Rush, Boston, Van Halen, Foreigner, and Journey. There is a decorative, and cheerful horse statue hanging from the ceiling, like what El Chico restaurants might still have as part of their decorum. The food is very well made, very tasty, and at a reasonable price, and made from scratch fresh every day. The building the restaurant is in is probably 100 years old or more, making it very historically significant. Makes me wonder if the streets outside the building once had gas lamps along with the unpaved road back in the days this building location was newly built. This is beside the point, but I am fascinated about history. Trevinos is definately a Mexican food favorite of mine.
My family and I really loved this place off the square. We came in Saturday late afternoon and there were three or four tables with other guests. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. They have coloring sheets and crayons for kids! I feel like that's always worth mentioning in reviews for other Moms. Our waitress so sweet and bubbly. All the food and drinks came out timely. I personally think it's a little on the expensive side for mexican food. However I would still come back here!
